About Pasta Fazool and reviews
Reviews:
I was up in business in the area and stopped in to have a bite in this unassuming little place in a strip mall. To tell you the truth before walking in I never anticipated what the meal would be like. I was met by Sal, the manager. He is a gentleman. I ordered the Chicken Picatta which was possibly the best I've had anywhere in my 61 years (I'm an expert on Chicken Picatta!).This place should be packed from when it opens until it closes. If you don't try this place you're missing a little gem of a restaurant.

Fantastic food!! Best eggplant parmesan and seafood specials ever. We eat here every time we can.

I can't believe it took me this long to try Pasta Fazool. Now I never want to leave. Delicious authentic dishes, complete with a courteous employee team! Sal was amazing and helped to identify tasty options from their menu. I standby the calamari, fresh bread and vegetable antipasti. The pasta was perfectly al dente and was worth the carbs ;) I love the BYOB option. Will be back, with friends, and bottles of wine!

Such a surprise. The special was a Pork Chop stuffed with prosciutto and was seriously one of the best pork chop dishes I EVER had. Put it on the main menu!!! Thanks so much it was incredible! The chef came out personally to the table to describe the dish. The waiter and waitress (I wish I remembered their names) are seriously the best. They make the experience authentic! Thanks guys!

I have been to this restaurant several times and by far one of my favorites!! The night we were there, it was bad weather so the place was no full, not only were we catered too, we were laughing and enjoying the company of Salvatore, the manager. He was so sweet. The food was to die for, so fresh. And the place is a BYOB.

Excellent food, large portions and friendly customer service. It's a small place, almost like a restaurant in little Italy, NY. So it's an intimate setting. This place is always crowded because of how good it is. If you have to wait for a table, it's well worth it so you should do so. You will be happy you waited! It's a also a BYOB :-)

I have no idea why this place doesn't have 5 Stars, a Willow Grove "diamond in the ruff" of a hidden gem for sure. The staff is impeccable and super nice. Their dishes may be a bit pricey, but one entree is literally enough for three meals, so the prices are appropriate. I'm not kidding when I say I ate their chicken parm for three days afterwards. We've done takeout from there as well and the food tasted just as amazing. The wrapped asparagus is great too. Have yet to have something from Fazool that wasn't great.

The food is outstanding and the portion size is massive. One of my favorite byob's. Service is great. Chicken parm is the size of a dinner plate. We have been here many times and has never failed us. Well done Chef and crew.

For years I've been meaning to get here. I've only heard the best reviews about this place, I drive right past it daily....and I never went.I can't believe I waited so long.My husband and I took my daughter on a Monday night about a month ago. As soon as I smelled the food and saw the menu I knew I was going to struggle only choosing one entree. So I opted for the mussels special, which came in this incredible buttery, mustardy sauce and sliced sausage, and I ordered the cavatappi broccoli. It was so fantastic, so delicious, I couldn't stop making yummy noises. My husband ordered the chicken parm and loved it. Sergio was kind enough to make a special dish for my daughter, a grilled red snapper with a side of gnocchi. She loved every bite too.We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more, and we were able to reminisce about the experience throughout the week as we tackled the leftovers. We can't wait to get back there!! Learn from my mistakes and go there ASAP!

Good find if you are looking for some great italian food. Their serving size is also generous, so you will definitely have left overs.

We had the most decussating meal ever. We waited with a reservation about 25 minutes. We took most of our meal home and I tasted my husband's. He had chicken with cheese in a sauce. Well the sauce tasted like water. It was terrible!!! We're done.

Food was amazing. It was a Monday and we were the only ones there for a little while. If I lived in the area I would be here every week.

We were introduced to this neighborhood gem a couple of year ago by friends who live in the area. We were passing through town this evening and decided to revisit Pasta Fazool for dinner. It was just as good as we remembered! The waitstaff is cordial and attentive, explaining the several daily specials -- all sounded delicious, but not what we were in the mood for. My wife ordered eggplant Parmesan and I ordered a chicken dish with tomato sauce, smothered in spinach and mozzarella cheese. Both dishes were delivered piping hot and were delicious. Everything seems to be prepared from scratch and to order -- no pre-made items here; it's the real deal! Pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the very ample portions. We will be back the next time we're in town.

Just had dinner with my wife, as usual both dishes were superb! My wife had the chicken special, with crabmeat and lobster raviolis, I had the veal sorentino. Service great, food great. Been here many times and have never been disappointed!

I was really very pleasantly surprised by Pasta Fazool. Being located in a little strip mall like it is, I didn't really know what to expect, but my wife and I had a very nice time here. The first thing that jumps out is that it is very small. It was pretty crowded when we went, but we were seated right away. They have the butcher paper right on the table which I'm not a huge fan of, but it's not the end of the world. We had Calamari to start and it was very nice. Not too much breading, really well prepared. My wife had the Gnocchi and I had Veal Sorrentino. Both were good, nice size portions and very tasty. I finished my wife's plate, but by the end there were no leftovers. I would say it was much, much better than anything you would get at a Carraba's or Bucca di Beppo but not as good as something you'd get downtown or in South Philly. The highlight was really the dessert. We split a Tiramisu and it was great, really light, really flavorful. Overall a much nicer experience for the same price as a chain restaurant.

I get takeout from here frequently and just about everything is delicious! I shall offer you a synopsis of some of the items I have sampled. Now, let's get this out of the way. Their pasta fagioli...not good! I'd think if you are naming your restaurant after this one thing that it would blow my tits off, but it didn't. It was quite bland, and I wouldn't recommend it at all. Good thing everything else is great!Their fried mozzarella is quite unique in that it is in a ball shape and smothered in sauce. I like it like this but my boyfriend did not, so you decide. Also, their sauce/gravy is phenomenal. We randomly got clams casino one day and they were very good, I'd recommend these guys if you enjoy them. For the main event, I've only ever ordered their hot sausage cacciatore dish because it is so good, and I know I love it so why try anything else. But this is one of the best Italian entrees I've ever had at a restaurant. And they give you quite a bit so you can enjoy it for a few days. I also love their spumone dessert here for some reason. It's basically a ball of delicious ice cream dipped in chocolate, and it's perfect.I've never dined inside, but it's a BYOB so that's cool. In an area where good dining choices aren't exactly abundant, this place is definitely worth checking out!

This place is amazing Italian food! My dad has had the chicken franchise here. He said it was very good! My mother has had the veal piccata here and she loved it! I'm on a certain meal plan so I ordered salmon plain with the some herbs and roasted vegetables. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. I am told the bread is also delicious here. I am also told the Caesar salad is great! My mother had penne with anchovies, capers with Diablo sauce and enjoyed it. My dad had Veal portofino. Veal sautéed in white wine with spinach crabmeat and mozzarella. Roasted potatoes . I tried this and it was amazing! The only negative is that it took about 50 minutes to get the food. The owner and the cook was great. They came over to the table and gave my mother long hots to take home. My dad finished off the meal with cappuccino. He said he enjoyed it. I highly recommend this restaurant!
